LEP stands for Licensed Educational Psychologist.

In California, LEPs are licensed mental health professionals who specialize in learning, behavior, and emotional well-being as they relate to educational and vocational settings.

We work with children, teens, and young adults to support academic success, career readiness, and overall mental health.

LEPs are governed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), the same licensing board that oversees LMFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs.

I don’t look at concerns in isolation. I focus on how learning, behavior, emotions, identity, and environment interact to shape the full picture.

The same diagnosis can look very different depending on cultural context, support systems, and lived experience. My work is centered on understanding those differences so that we are not just naming concerns, but making sense of them.

I use strengths-based and culturally responsive assessment tools and frameworks, not only to identify areas of need, but to better understand how each person is functioning within their real-world environments.

My experience and background in school psychology and educational psychology allows me to work across home, school, and clinical settings and translate complex information into clear, usable understanding. The goal is clarity.

I work with school-aged children and teens (ages 5–17), young adults (18–25), and college students throughout California. I also provide consultation for parents, educators, and other professionals.

My work focuses on situations where learning, emotional, behavioral, or developmental concerns are complex, unclear, or look different across settings (home, school, work, or treatment environments).

This includes individuals navigating learning differences (such as ADHD, Dyslexia, or Autism), as well as emotional/behavioral challenges like anxiety, stress, and perfectionism that impact school, work, or daily functioning.

I also support youth and young adults transitioning between levels of care, including intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), residential treatment (RTC), and outpatient care.

At this time, in-person services are available in San Diego, CA.

I also offer virtual services to clients located throughout California.

At this time, I accept private payment (no insurance).

However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Disclaimer (CA Law): K–12 students may be eligible for psychoeducational evaluation and counseling services at no cost through their public school district under special education or 504 guidelines. School-based options can be discussed during consultation.

The consultation is a 10-15-minute call where we get to know each other and see if working together feels like a good fit.

You’re welcome to ask me questions about availability, scope of practice, or my experience, and share any specific concerns.

If we agree that we’re a good fit during the free consultation call, I’ll send you a link to complete admissions paperwork through a secure Electronic Health Records (EHR) client portal.

Once paperwork is completed, you’ll be able to schedule your first session (intake appointment).
